Football: 2027 CB Jewellz Tapp commits to TCU

TCU football has added another cornerback to its 2027 recruiting class, picking a commitment up from Jewellz Tapp. The 6-foot, 175-pounder from New Orleans recorded 24 tackles, nine pass breakups and five interceptions during his junior season at John Curtis in River Ridge, Louisiana. Tapp, who has offers from Houston, Kansas State and Cincinnati, becomes the eighth overall recruit and the second cornerback of TCU’s 2027 class.

Tapp, who has a total of 19 Division I offers, visited Houston, Kansas State, TCU and Cincinnati before announcing his commitment to the Horned Frogs on Saturday. Tapp was named a District 9-5A Second Team player during his junior season, helping John Curtis to a 9-3 record and a 5-2 record in district play.
