Michigan State football has reportedly added a last minute visitor for this weekend, with the potential of flipping him away from a Big 12 school.

Corey Robinson of 247Sports reported on Saturday that three-stat lineman Zay'vion Smith is currently taking an official visit with the Spartans. Smith was originally planning to take an official visit to Pitt this weekend but has apparently switched up his plans to be at Michigan State.

Smith is currently committed to Cincinnati, but it sounds like that commitment is shaky at this point considering he has shown invested interest in both Pitt and Michigan State.

Smith is listed as a three-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 86 on 247Sports. He is currently listed as the No. 94 offensive tackle and No. 42 player from Ohio in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2027 class.

While Smith is listed as an offensive tackle on 247Sports, it looks like the Spartans are pursuing him as a defensive lineman. Michigan State defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere is reportedly serving as his primary recruiter, which would suggest he'll play on the defensive side of the ball should he end up a Spartan.

This is an interesting story of a priority prospect for the Spartans and someone we should continue to monitor. As of now, he's committed to Cincinnati, but that could be changing very quickly.
