One of the top players in Fort Collins has an offer from the Colorado State football program.
Despite an uncertain coaching situation, the Rams officially offered Fossil Ridge junior tight end recruit Caleb Camping on Nov. 16.
Camping is a 6-foot-5, 220-pound tight end who has been rising up recruiting rankings throughout 2025. He's a 3-star recruit and currently one of Colorado's top 10 players in the Class of 2027, per 247Sports.
As a junior, Camping made 40 grabs for 391 yards and two touchdowns in a Fossil offense that was young yet often dynamic.
He also has experience playing Canvas Stadium, making eight catches for 47 yards against Fort Collins in this year's annual Canvas Classic played inside CSU's home stadium.

Camping backs up his big frame with high-end athleticism, solid blocking and excellent ball skills as a receiver.
The three-phase player can play defense and special teams, as well.
Camping made 23 tackles (two for loss) with a sack in limited action at defensive end as a sophomore. He only played two games on defense this past season but recorded seven tackles (six solo, four for loss).
The Class of 2027 prospect also punts for Fossil Ridge, booming 18 for over 600 yards with a long of 56 during the 2025 season.
It's a somewhat rare Rams' offer for a Fort Collins city football player, though it comes with a caveat.
CSU football still has an ongoing search for its new head coach after firing Jay Norvell in October. The current staff that offered Camping may not still be in place by December.
However, the junior standout also has offers from Toledo and Northern Arizona, plus recruiting interest ramping up from Kansas, San Diego State, UNLV and Columbia and others.
Chris Abshire covers high school and community sports for the Coloradoan.
