Nebraska running back Emmett Johsnon has been named a semifinalist for the 2025 Doak Walker National Collegiate Running Back Award. Johnson ranks fifth in the nation in rushing yards (1,131), fourth in rushing yards per game (113.1), and third in all-purpose yards (1,431).

The honor is named for legendary SMU running back Doak Walker. The PwC SMU Athletic Forum has presented the Doak Walker National Collegiate Running Back Award to the nation’s top running back since 1990.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers (7-3, 4-3) retake the field on Saturday, Nov. 22, when they face the Penn State Nittany Lions (4-6, 1-6) at Beaver Stadium. The game will kick off at 6 p.m. CT and can be seen on NBC.
