Two Georgia Bulldogs make The Athletic's 'freaks list'

When Bruce Feldman of The Athletic released his 2026 freaks list, many expected the Georgia Bulldogs to have a ton of players on the list of 101. Surprisingly, they had just two: wide receiver London Humphreys and defensive tackle Elijah Griffin.

Feldman's list details college football players with insane and measurable athletic abilities. These are players who can jump really high or far or run super fast for their size. Feldman's list has spanned since 2005, and it has expanded from 10 players to 101 players. It spans throughout the college football landscape, from Power Four to Group of Five to Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) teams.

Humphreys came in at No. 32 on the list. He comes from a bloodline of athletes in track and field. His dad, Clark, was an All-American pole vaulter at Auburn, and his mom, Erin, was an All-American decathlete. London, who caught 18 passes for 273 yards and three touchdowns last season, could become a much bigger part of Georgia's offense. He put up an insane 11 1/2-foot broad jump this summer, and he also vertical-jumped 35 1/2 inches and power-cleaned 315 pounds.

Griffin enters at No. 94, and he could be the next great defensive tackle in a long list of great Georgia defensive tackles. Griffin, who doesn't turn 20 until October, totaled 22 tackles and 2 1/2 TFLs, including four tackles and a forced a fumble that led to a 47-yard scoop-and-score against the Ole Miss Rebels in the Sugar Bowl. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 310 pounds, he broad-jumped 9-foot-5, got 29 1/2 on the vertical jump, and power-cleaned 355 pounds.
