Baylor's 5-star RB David Gabriel-Georges runs for 435 yards in DII-AAA semifinal

Baylor junior running back David Gabriel-Georges continues to put impressive finishing touches on what has already been an monster season.
The Mr. Football semifinalist, and last year's Mr. Football winner, had arguably his most dominant performance of the 2025 season on Nov. 21. He rushed 32 times for a jaw-dropping 435 yards and seven touchdowns as Baylor rolled to a 56-35 win over McCallie in the Division II-AAA semifinal of the TSSAA football playoffs on Nov. 21 at Baylor School in Chattanooga.
Baylor's win ends the season for the two-time defending state champs. McCallie (10-3) beat Baylor the previous two state title games. The Red Raiders (11-0) will face Brentwood Academy (11-0) in the state championship at 7 p.m. on Dec. 4 at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga.
Baylor traveled to Brentwood Academy on Sept. 5 for a regular season game but it was canceled because of severe weather in Middle Tennessee. Baylor has won the last four meetings between the two schools. Brentwood Academy's last win against the Red Raiders came in 2020.
Gabriel-Georges opened the game with a 17-yard touchdown run. With the game tied at 7-7, he scored three straight times on runs of 1, 4 and 33 yards, then added an electric 85-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter as Baylor ran away from the game.
Baylor quarterback and Louisville commit, Briggs Cherry, was 10-of-16 for 169 yards passing and a touchdown.
