Yours truly is not usually the one to quickly dispel any type of medical advice.

I’m no doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

With all of that said…Saturday in Athens is going to be…rather hot.

There’s a common saying in you have plans to be outside when it comes to hydration. If you’re wondering if you are hydrated enough ahead of time, you probably aren’t.

Whatever you do to stay hydrated and get fluids – its highly advisable to do so. Liquid IV and Pedialyte will likely be in high consumption all across campus Saturday – and who knows? Maybe we can have another Georgia post-game coverage nugget about pickle juice?

Regardless – it’ll be a hot Saturday in Athens.

Say this about Elyiss Williams. If nothing else, he passes the eye test. But based on what is being trickled out of preseason camp, there may be more where that came from for the gargantuan tight end from down around Georgia’s coastal empire.

With 7 catches for 177 yards and a touchdown last year, there was flashes of what Williams could be, and one of the more intriguing things for Georgia on offense is how Williams is utilized even more.

As Georgia fans, there is something ingrained within us to greatly dislike and mock anything having to do with Georgia Tech, Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, and Clemson. At the same time, big kudos to the folks over on The Plains for this, something that warms the heart if you have a child with special needs in your life or know of someone that does.

I don’t know if Alex Golesh will be successful at Auburn or not. But while Jon Sumrall is at Florida getting angry about a cell phone ringtone in press conferences, Golesh is winning the ‘being a good human being’ category among the new SEC coaches.

Oh, Penn State…

Serious question – what entails the “Paterno Family Football Experience?” I’ll hang up and listen.

In soccer, the Lady Dawgs now have four shutouts on the season. Clearly, much more about this team will be learned in SEC play, but four shutouts are still four shutouts.
