The Tennessee Volunteers have made the trip south to Gainesville for another opportunity against the Florida Gators tonight, who are spiraling down the drain to close the season. Florida is just 3-7 overall, entrenched in a very public battle to hire Lane Kiffin as their next head coach. It’s fair to wonder where their heads are at entering tonight’s game, now officially with nothing left to play for but pride.

Tennessee will be looking for their first win in The Swamp in over 20 years. They’re also maneuvering for a top bowl bid after being eliminated from the College Football Playoff conversation three weeks ago against Oklahoma.

Josh Heupel has notoriously struggled away from home and enters this one with an 0-2 mark in Gainesville. Tennessee won’t be back here until 2029 with the new SEC scheduling rules, so you know he’d love to get over the hump and bury this narrative tonight.
