LSU coach Lane Kiffin has dominated the news cycle after the Tigers took advantage of a Louisiana judge’s temporary restraining order to add former NFL players Dae’Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris to their roster.
Kiffin is yet to recover from being college football’s biggest villain after leaving the Ole Miss Rebels just before they embarked on their College Football Playoff run.
Former LSU nose tackle Breiden Fehoko blasted Kiffin’s inner circle for failing to rein in the coach’s worst impulses in Baton Rouge.

Fehoko captioned a clip of his rant against Kiffin’s actions:
“Anyone in Lane Kiffin’s circle who tells him every day “you are doing all the right things” needs to be fired. Don’t surround yourself with people who won’t be real with you. The way he’s moving, it’s okay to admit this is doing too much. He left Ole Miss so he didn’t have to deal with all the drama. Somehow it’s still following him,” Fehoko wrote.
Kiffin has always been a controversial figure and has had a love-hate relationship with fans, players, and analysts throughout his career. Most notably, Kiffin’s departure from Tennessee to USC caused campus wide riots in Knoxville in 2010 before the Trojans sacked him on the tarmac in 2013.
Legendary Alabama coach Nick Saban dismissed Kiffin as his offensive coordinator in 2017 just a week before the national championship game because his protege had taken the Florida Atlantic job.

Fehoko further explained that Kiffin thrives in the chaos that his actions produce among fans, coaches, and analysts.
“I’ve seen enough of Lane Kiffin to know what type of guy he is,” Fehoko said. “Lane Kiffin is the type of guy that thrives around negativity. Kiffin is the type of guy that loves the attention. Kiffin is the type of guy that, ‘I’m gonna talk my shit and then back it up.’ Kiffin is the type of guy that, ‘I don’t care what you think of me. Imma say what I wanna say. Imma do what I wanna do and if I cause a stir, but it is what it is.”
Former LSU defensive end Jack Pyburn, who was also on Kiffin’s radar, was claimed by the Kansas City Chiefs after being waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Ex-Notre Dame Fighting Irish defensive end Junior Tuihalamaka, whose eligibility ran out, is also practicing with the Tigers because of the ruling.
The SEC strongly opposed former NFL players committing to LSU, with members reportedly considering drastic measures, including suspending Kiffin, a steep fine of up to 50% of the sport’s annual budget, or revoking the team’s league voting rights. The matter will be resolved in a Louisiana courtroom on Thursday.
Even before Kiffin’s first game in charge of LSU against the Clemson Tigers in Week 1, the polarizing coach has stolen the headlines and bolstered his reputation as college football’s No. 1 villain.
