The Georgia Bulldogs are looking to make some significant moves not just in this recruiting class with signing day coming after the season, and not even just the 2028 class either.

Apparently, Kirby Smart and this coaching staff are putting real resources already into a prospect who is mind bogglingly in the class of 2029, but he has a chance to wind up being one of the best players in the nation.

Butler, Georgia and Taylor County High School's Zayquan Dozier, who was one of the players on campus for the Bulldogs season-opening game against Tennessee State this past weekend, says Smart and this staff in Athens are the ones who are making the early impression on him.

Zayquan Dozier Says Georgia is Impressing Him Already

"Georgia has impressed me already," Dozier told Rivals last week. "I like [defensive line coach Tray Scott] a lot. I have had the chance to talk with him and he is a great coach. He reminds me of my uncle…The coaches at Georgia are the ones I know the best. Coach Scott is great and I like Coach Smart too. I saw spring practice and I like his energy and how he gets on his players."

Dozier is quite possible multiple full years away from being ready to make any kind of decision, but so often, early relationships wind up sticking out in the minds of top recruits, especially those who are from the state they are being recruited by the main power in.

He is still such a young player now starting his sophomore season, but it's already clear to everyone who has watched him that this is a difference maker on the football field.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 265 pounds with plenty of time to grow, Dozier is the type of guy who has No. 1 defensive lineman in the nation type potential here a year or two down the line. 

At the end of the day, there's still a ton of work and a lot of time to do before a player like this winds up in Athens, but for folks who like to get a look at early recruits, Dozier is the name to know for the class of 2029 and it seems like Georgia is making him a priority.

If the Bulldogs can stay on top of this one and wind up landing Dozier, he could be a future star for this defense down the line.
