Remy Ma and Claressa Shields are trading shots online again, with the rapper dragging her pending divorce from Papoose into the latest exchange.
The feud follows months of public tension, including Remy’s “W.Y.F.L.” freestyle, which fans believed targeted Shields, and Shields’ recent insistence that Papoose should not be described as “somebody’s husband” because he has filed for divorce.
The latest exchange began after Remy shared footage from a video shoot featuring boxers Amanda Serrano and Alycia Baumgardner, both of whom are rivals of Shields. Shields responded on X that she had “been laughing all day,” prompting Remy to fire back.
Remy mocked Shields and then turned her attention to Papoose, telling him to “SIGN THE PAPERS PAPURSE!” She also used the hashtag #FreeRemy and reminded him about the date and time of an upcoming divorce hearing.
Remy followed up with a screen recording that she said showed years’ worth of Instagram messages between her and Shields. The messages included a 2021 exchange in which Shields invited Remy to one of her fights. Remy replied that Papoose loved Shields, years before the boxer and rapper publicly confirmed their relationship.
The social media posts are the latest chapter in a breakup that has repeatedly played out in public. Remy and Papoose exchanged vows while she was incarcerated in 2008 and later held a televised wedding ceremony in 2016. They share a daughter, Reminisce Mackenzie.
Papoose filed for divorce in May 2025. He and Remy have publicly accused each other of infidelity, while Shields and Papoose have continued their relationship as the divorce remains unresolved.
For now, Remy’s message to Papoose is straightforward: she wants the divorce completed. The latest exchange shows that until the case is finalized, the conflict surrounding the former couple and Shields is likely to remain public.
