Call For Questions: ‘Points Please!’ Edition

For a second straight weekend, Washington walked off the field victorious. The bigger story, of course, was the little offensive success against two woeful foes. Washington State was blasted by Kansas State to a tune of 34-7 after a close contest with the Huskies in Week 1. Meanwhile, Washington beat Utah State 16-14. One week prior, Utah State fell to Idaho State of the Big Sky (FCS).

Inept offense is far from what Washington fans envisioned entering the ongoing campaign. Fortunately, the season is still young, and there’s a chance that the slow start will be forgotten by the end of the season. If not, the injuries to the running back room, minimal development in the passing game, and an overall lack of fire in the offense could make for a painfully long season at Montlake.

Washington faces an Eastern Washington team that will look to march into Husky Stadium and stagger an already dazed offense. On the other side, this clash presents an opportunity for the Huskies to find momentum ahead of Big Ten Play.
