Alabama is off to a 3-0 start this season, defeating East Carolina 48-10, Kentucky 45-17 and Florida State 50-36. The Crimson Tide offense has been one of the best in the country thus far in 2026. Against Florida State, sophomore quarterback Keelon Russell was dominant, connecting on 23 of 30 passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns. Lotzeir Brooks caught eight passes for 101 yards while Ryan Coleman-Williams caught three passes for 62 yards and one touchdown. Trae’shawn Brown led the team in rushing, running the ball 12 times for 86 yards and one touchdown in the team’s revenge victory over the Seminoles.
South Carolina, meanwhile, is 2-1 this season, taking down Kent State 57-0 to open its campaign, before beating Towson 45-9. The Gamecocks are coming off a 41-34 setback at the hands of Mississippi State, however, and will look to right the ship against the Crimson Tide on Saturday. In the loss against the Bulldogs, junior quarterback LaNorris Sellers had an up-and-down outing, converting 25 of 40 pass attempts for two touchdowns, but he also had two costly interceptions in the outing.
Sellers will need to improve his consistency against Alabama if South Carolina is going to have a chance to pull off the upset.
