Alabama stock report: 3 players rising after win vs. Mississippi State

After a big home win last week over South Carolina, the Alabama Crimson Tide went on the road Saturday afternoon to do the exact same against Mississippi State.

A ranked matchup, Alabamadominated the Bulldogs inside Davis Wade Stadium, eventually leaving Starkville with a 56-23 win. The Crimson Tide had a number of players make a huge impact in the win on both sides of the ball, with the Alabama passing game led by quarterback Keelon Russell arguably the most impressive of all.

Here is a look at this week's Alabama stock report, which features three Crimson Tide players who are trending up after their Week 5 performance on the road at Mississippi State.

Keelon Russell, Quarterback

Russell outplayed Mississippi State's Kamario Taylor in the star-studded SEC quarterback matchup, completing 16-of-22 passes for 285 yards and three touchdowns with a 96.7 QBR. The Alabama quarterback also rushed for five times for 16 yards and a score, and has now thrown for at-least 280+ yards and three touchdowns in his last three games.

Xavier Griffin, Linebacker

The talented true freshman linebacker had easily the best performance of his young Alabama career at Mississippi State. Griffin finished with a team-high nine total tackles, three of which were solo, along with one sack and a TFL.

Rico Scott, Wide Receiver

Scott had one of his best performances of the season Saturday afternoon by catching four passes for 56 yards and two touchdowns. The wideout also had one rush for four yards, while Scott's 56 receiving yards were also a season-high, as were his two touchdowns.
