No. 14 Tennessee (4-1, 1-1 SEC) will play its first Southeastern Conference road game on Saturday in Week 6. Arkansas (2-3, 0-2 SEC) will host the Vols at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Kickoff between the Vols and Razorbacks is slated for 4:15 p.m. EDT (SEC Network). Rankings reflect the US LBM Coaches Poll.
David Johnson is in his first season at Arkansas, serving as running backs coach and assistant head coach. He went to the Razorbacks after six seasons as Florida State's running backs coach and recruiting coordinator from 2020-25.
Johnson served as Tennessee's wide receivers coach (2018) and running backs coach (2019) before being hired by the Seminoles. He was known as coach "YAC" with the Vols, yards after catch with wide receivers and yards after contact when coaching running backs.
Johnson was an assistant under former Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt.
"When you do that, you have to coach a number of positions," Pruitt said of Johnson changing coaching positions in 2019. "Everyone wants to do what is best for the team, and everybody figures out what their role is and does the best at their role. I think David is a guy that is willing to do whatever he needs to help get Tennessee football back where it is supposed to be."
