Two national championship contenders face off in Week 6 when No. 2 Georgia visits No. 7 Alabama on Saturday, Oct. 10, with ESPN's "College GameDay" in town.
The Bulldogs and Crimson Tide both boast high-powered offenses in what should be an exciting game between the SEC powers. The two programs rank first and second nationally, respectively, in points per game this season.
"GameDay" last traveled to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for Alabama vs. Vanderbilt in Week 6 of last season. The Crimson Tide defeated the Commodores 30-14, with comedian Theo Von serving as the celebrity guest picker.
Who will be the guest picker on "College GameDay" this time around? Here are a few options for ESPN to consider.
'College GameDay' guest picker predictions for Alabama-Georgia
Bryce Young
Bryce Young is on bye this week with the Carolina Panthers, making him an obvious option for "GameDay." The former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback at Alabama is having a breakout season as a third-year pro, as he leads the NFL with 1,268 passing yards.
Young would also reunite with his former coach, Nick Saban, who's one of the show's analysts.
Oba Femi
WWE wrestler Oba Femi, a former SEC shot put champion at Alabama, is another option. The 28-year-old star graduated from Alabama in 2022. "College GameDay" hasn't shied away from cross-promotion in the past, and given ESPN's ties to WWE, he would make sense.
Julio Jones
Arguably the greatest receiver in Alabama history, former NFL star Julio Jones would be another great option, especially his connections to Saban, his former coach, and the Atlanta Falcons, located just an hour south of Athens.
Jones last played in 2023, finishing his NFL career with 13,703 receiving yards and 66 touchdowns. The first-round pick out of Alabama in 2011 was a five-time All-Pro with the Falcons.
Miss Terry
Saban's wife, known better as "Miss Terry" appeared as the guest picker on "College GameDay" in 2024, and went 7-of-9 on her picks. Could the show bring her back? She's an Alabama fan-favorite, and with the Saban documentary releasing this week, it would be another opportunity to promote an ESPN-owned documentary.
Channing Tatum
Famous actor Channing Tatum is from Cullman, Alabama, and is an Alabama fan. He also played college football at Glenville State College in Glenville, West Virginia, on scholarship, before he dropped out. Saban was born in Fairmont, West Virginia, and maybe he's familiar with Tatum's college — that would make for some intriguing "GameDay" content.
