After a historic and emotional win over Notre Dame in Provo, BYU travels across the country next week versus a UCF team that was on bye this week. Lines are out for week 8 games and BYU as of this publishing is a 7.5-point road favorite over UCF. The line opened at 9.5 and quickly moved towards UCF.

UCF is 3-3 and 1-2 in the Big 12. After a 3-1 start, UCF has lost it’s last two games, both on the road. UCF lost 27-17 at a top 20 Houston team and 42-28 versus Oklahoma State, another ranked opponent. FIU QB transfer Keyone Jenkins has started the last three games and given UCF’s passing game a little spark. The Knights’ defense has been mostly good this season, but allowed a high-powered Oklahoma State offense to pull away from them last game.

This screams let down spot for BYU, going two time zones after a historic win versus a UCF win coming off a bye. BYU is certainly the better team, but UCF is more than capable of hanging around if BYU isn’t buttoned up.
