Coaches Poll Week 8: Notre Dame and Texas Dropped Big

NCAAF College Football News, Photos, Stats, Scores, Schedule & Videos...

Notre Dame lost at BYU in a 28-24 thriller. There was one second left on the clock – the Big 12 acknowledged the officials’ error – and it was questionable whether or not pass interference or defensive holding should’ve been called on the final Irish play in the end zone. Okay, fine, classic game, wonderful college football moment all the way around, and the AP voters acknowledged all the parts of the puzzle and put Notre Dame fourth. The Coaches Poll? Nope.

Notre Dame dropped No. 2 to eight. Texas was the other big loser, going from No. 6 to 18, but that meant several other teams moved up big in the latest Coaches Poll Top 25.
