The Ohio State Buckeyes got a hard-fought, tough, competitive win over the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday that was very clearly a battle between two of the top teams in the country. The Hoosiers had a chance to win the football game late, but wide receiver Nick Marsh lost awareness of where he was on the field as he stepped out of bounds on the game-winning catch.
Regardless of what happened in that game, those two teams proved that they are two of the best teams in the country, and no one was dropping out of the conversation.
The AP Poll was released on Sunday, and the Buckeyes ticked up, but just barely. Ohio State was the No. 5 team in the country going into that Indiana game, and they are now the No. 3 team in the country.
With all of the chaos that ensued in college football on Saturday, the Buckeyes had a real chance at getting to 2 or maybe even 1 had the Miami Hurricanes been on the wrong side of Florida State's upset bid.

None of it truly matters at this point, but it is good to see Ohio State firmly inside the Top 5.
The shuffle inside the AP rankings this week after everything that happened in Week 7. Georgia fell to Auburn, Notre Dame lost, Alabama got crushed, Texas lost, and Missouri got blown out. The AP poll this week looks a lot different, and it goes again to show that the parity in college football is showing week after week.
A really neat side note to this week's ranking is that BYU is ranked No. 2 in the country. It's the highest ranking for BYU since they reached No. 5 overall in 1993. They won the National Championship in 1984, but other than that, this is the highest they have ever been ranked.
The end of the Buckeyes' season is continuing to get more challenging. After this week's bye week, Ohio State goes out west to take on the No. 16 USC Trojans before an unranked matchup against Oregon and then a very tough game against the No. 24 Northwestern Wildcats.
It's a really challenging end to the season, and the Buckeyes have to do it without their starting quarterback, Julian Sayin, who will be out "several weeks."
Ohio State climbs up back into the top-3 after their hard-fought victory over the No. 5 Indiana Hoosiers. The Hoosiers stay ranked sixth in the country while the Buckeyes move to No. 3.
