The Georgia Bulldogs appear to have a chance to return star wide receiver Colbie Young for the Sugar Bowl against the Ole Miss Rebels. Young has missed extensive time after suffering a leg injury in the first meeting against Ole Miss. Despite all the missed time, Young remains Georgia‘s second-leading receiver behind Zachariah Branch.

Young’s physical presence on the outside is important for the Georgia offense and he’s returned to practice without a noncontact jersey, so he should be ready to play at some point in the College Football Playoff barring any setbacks. Georgia coach Kirby Smart mentioned that he expects Young to return for the semifinals game, but his rehab could be ahead of schedule.

Young has 23 receptions, 336 yards and one touchdown this season. If he is able to return for the Ole Miss game, then we would expect Young to not play as many snaps as he did previously since he suffered a major injury and has not been in the rhythm of the offense.

Also spotted at practice was tight end Ethan Barbour, who has been out since September after getting a fractured leg. Barbour is an excellent blocker and should be expected to play some snaps.
