The Colorado Buffaloes are continuing their attempt to rebuild their defense, with all reported offers and visits on Day 1 of the transfer portal being to defensive players.

Former Bowling Green linebacker Gideon Lampron is the next player on the Buffs' wishlist. He announced on social media Friday afternoon that Deion Sanders' program extended an offer.

Lampron was a first-team All-MAC selection after a standout 2025 season where he recorded 119 total tackles, 17.5 tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass breakup.

Lampron is a hot commodity on the portal's opening day, with offers from TCU, Virginia, UCF, Louisville, Pitt and Oklahoma, in addition to Colorado.

The LaGrange, Ohio native is a three-star prospect according to 247Sports and the No. 35 linebacker in the transfer portal.

With Colorado's defense having a major weakness at inside linebacker in 2025, finding a couple of standout stack linebackers would go a long way toward improving one of the worst run defenses in the country.
