With the Colorado Buffaloes scheduling visits with several transfers, one former Buff is gaining interest from several blue-blood programs.
Former Buff edge Alexander McPherson hit the transfer portal after a standout freshman season. In his time with Colorado, McPherson tallied 15 total tackles and 0.5 sacks. While it was not always reflected on the stat sheet, the loss was significant for the Buffs’ depleted defensive front.
The Buffaloes lost seven players, including McPherson, along their defensive front to the transfer portal, including fellow freshman star London Merritt.
The 6-foot-6, 240-pound defensive end is now receiving offers from true blue blood programs. CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz reports that Penn State, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss and Auburn are interested in the talented young edge rusher. The former three-star high school recruit committed to Colorado in 2024.
McPherson is ranked as a three-star transfer by 247Sports. He is the No. 42-ranked edge in the portal.
