Arizona State football lands a big one as Basha's Hildebrand commits

Chandler Basha left tackle Jake Hildebrand, the top-recruited football player in the state in the 2027 class, announced on Tuesday, May 19, that he has committed to Arizona State.

Hildebrand, 6 feet 6, 297 pounds, had narrowed his list to ASU, Utah, Texas A&M and Oregon.

Hildebrand has been atop The Arizona Republic’s player rankings in his recruiting class every year since his freshman season, when he started on varsity for the Bears.

He was a key part of Basha’s 2025 Open Division state championship run.
