Around the SEC Doesn’t Give Up

Welcome to another edition of Around the SEC, where everything is made up and the points don’t matter. That’s right, the points are like blue bloods throwing the bag at Mississippi State QB Kamario Taylor. The kid is a baller and from just outside of Starkville. By all accounts, he loves Mississippi State and has a great relationship with head coach Jeff Lebby. In a day where most jump at the brightest, shiniest thing, it seems Taylor wants to stay in Starkville and become a campus legend, which I absolutely love.

Bama OC vs. Fans

Alabama offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb made waves at his press conference this week when he applauded his players for not giving up after getting down early against Florida State; however, this praise came at the expense of Alabama fans, who Grubb said did give up on his team. The fans in Tuscaloosa are known to be chill and practical and won’t take offense to this sort of comment whatsoever. Grubb has since apologized for this remarks.

Lacy a Game Time Decision

It was feared that when Ole Miss star running back Kewan Lacy exited the Rebels’ game against LSU that he would miss a significant amount of time. Luckily, that does not seems to be the case, as head coach Pete Golding said that Lacy’s injury was not long-term and that he is a game time decision for their clash with Florida this weekend.

Revisiting the Music City Miracle II

Ya, this one was so crazy, I want to bring it up even though it isn’t news. Vanderbilt’s last second win against NC State, where the caused a fumble during an attempted intentional safety to run out the clock saw the Commodores go to 3-0 in this generation’s version of the Music City Miracle. This was maybe the wildest, most improbable win since Michigan State took a Michigan punter’s mishandled snap to the house back in 2015.
