The Auburn Tigers are set to have a fascinating offense in 2026 

With Alex Golesh taking over as head coach and bringing his offensive coordinator, Joel Gordon, along for the ride, the team is expected to run a very fast-paced offense in the SEC.

On this week's Auburn Roundtable, the staff discusses some of the biggest offensive storylines closing out fall camp and heading into Week 1 against the Baylor Bears. 

What do you think of the recent surge of Bryson Washington? 

Zac Blackerby: I think Bryson Washington coming on is the best case scenario for Auburn football. I still think Omar Mabson is still the guy behind Jeremiah Cobb but regardless, Auburn seems loaded. 

Christian Rauh: definitely not going to complain about it. However, it is slightly concerning that it took this long to start getting the hype of somebody who has had 1,800 rushing yards over the last two seasons in Power Four competition. For the first time all season, I do believe we will see him get some action against his former team in Week 1, but I'm not sure if it'll be seen as running back 2 or RB3 usage. 

How do you think the carries will be divided in the backfield for Auburn's Offense? 

Zac Blackerby: I think Cobb, Mabson, and Byrum Brown will all be with 10% of each other with carries unless Cobb really gets going. This is impossible to predict. It also could change from week to week.

Christian Rauh: If everything goes right, Brown and Cobb, I believe, will get a good amount of the carries. As much as I want to see Mabson sneak up there as well, I think he will lag behind, at least early in the season. If I had to guess, I'd say Cobb and Brown combined total over 50% usage 

Do you have confidence in the Tigers Offense line?

Zac Blackerby: I do. And it’s not all just because of the individual guys. I think this offensive scheme really helps out with the line. I also think the tackle play will be much better than what we’ve seen. 

Christian Rauh: I agree. I also have confidence in this offensive line. They've been tested throughout this entire spring and fall camp against a very good Auburn defense that will likely be the best thing this offensive line sees until the middle of the season against Georgia. 

VIBE Check: Overall thoughts on Auburn's WR Room?

Zac Blackerby: I think the combination of experience and upside creates a lot of fun opportunities. Seems like they really like their top four guys. I also think a guy like Brian Williams can become a larger factor over the course of the season. 

Christian Rauh: I think it's a good problem to have, but I'm also slightly concerned that there might be too many mouths to feed when it comes to the wide receiver room. If everyone can coexist, however, they have the chance to be one of the deepest rooms in all of college football.
