The Wisconsin Badgers have been picking up some major steam on the recruiting trail this weekend during official visits, and they picked up their first commitment of the weekend, as four-star wide receiver/athlete Jai Jones committed to the program on Sunday morning.

Jones, a native of Arizona, wasn’t seen as a lock for the Badgers heading into the weekend, as he also had visits to Cal and Arizona coming up over the following two weeks.

But the Badgers were able to impress the four-star enough that he shut down his recruitment and committed to the Badgers, giving new wideouts coach Ari Confesor his first addition in the class.

Wisconsin had brought 19 visitors to campus this weekend, with 13 of them being committed to the program already. They were looking to close on the other six recruits, who were all considered top targets heading into official visits.

Now, the Badgers have their first commitment, and more could be on the way after a buzzing weekend.

Jones becomes the 14th commit for the Badgers in the 2027 class, and the sixth four-star or composite four-star commit.
