Heimer's senior season with the Bears was cut short due to an injury, but he still put up outstanding numbers through seven games.

He rushed for 1321 yards and 18 touchdowns on 145 carries and added 90 receiving yards and one TD on seven catches. The two-way player, who is committed to Division II Minnesota State University-Mankato, also recorded 52 tackles, 8.5 tackles for losses (TFLs), two interceptions, six passes broken up (PBUs), one forced fumble and one fumble recovery as a safety.

The Bears, who advanced to the state tournament in 2023 and 2024, played in their third consecutive Section 1, Class 4A title game, but missed out on a three-peat, falling 31-28 to Kasson-Mantorville on Oct. 31. The Bears were without Heimer for their final three games of the season and finished 9-1 overall, with the KoMets handing them their first loss in the section championship.
