BYU football head coach Kalani Sitake has led the Cougars to eight winning seasons in his 10 years with the school, but he appears to be tired of working under budgetary constraints that others in his position throughout college football don't have to deal with.

"We’ve been given the challenge of doing the most with the least," Sitake said to Cougar Sports host Ben Criddle."For me, the frustrating part is we’ve been able to do so much, but we can do way more at a faster rate… I’m not going to be the one that makes high demands. These are very simple demands. Things our opponents have in the conference. Not even Texas Tech. The others. If we get an even playing field with that stuff. I should be able to do more."

Sitake believes the Cougars are on the precipice of doing something special, but not without additional funding.

"I'm not trying to like get sympathy from everyone. I'm just trying to tell you guys how real it is. And the fact that we're this close to making the playoffs, it's like, come on,' Sitake said.

BYU Cougars Wire's Jeremy Mauss took a closer look into Sitake's claim and the finances that BYU has to work with relative to the rest of the Big 12.
