The Notre Dame football team is hoping to reach the College Football Playoff once again in 2026. One college football analyst is a believer in this team’s offensive stars. Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr and wide receiver Mylan Graham are included in a list of the top quarterback-wide receiver duos in the country for 2026, per On3.
On3 analyst J.D. PicKell put together a list of the top 10 QB-WR duos for this season. Carr and Graham made it as no. 5 on the list.
“Although Notre Dame fell just shy of reaching the College Football Playoff last season, quarterback CJ Carr impressed mighty in his first campaign as the Irish’s starting quarterback. Carr passed for 2,741 yards and 24 touchdowns, and is projected as one of the top quarterbacks in the 2027 NFL Draft,” On3 reported.

This is an interesting ranking, as Graham had not played at Notre Dame in 2025. He was at Ohio State, where he posted just six catches for 93 receiving yards.
“The former four-star recruit is bound to blossom in South Bend under the guidance of head coach Marcus Freeman. Graham seems poised to be the next Ohio State transfer to blossom with a different team, joining the likes of Joe Burrow and Jameson Williams,” On3 added.
During the 2025 season, Carr posted just six interceptions for Notre Dame. He took the starting job from Riley Leonard, who left for the NFL following 2024.
Notre Dame famously missed the CFP in 2025, narrowly missing out on making the field. During the 2024 football season, the Fighting Irish reached the national championship game. Notre Dame lost that game to Ohio State.
Notre Dame football opens the 2026 season with a game against Wisconsin. That contest is scheduled for September 6. Time will tell if Notre Dame’s players will live up to that ranking this season.
