Despite losing six offensive linemen to other teams during the recruiting process, Clemson is still hanging around for its first 2027 offensive line target, which feels pretty important considering how frustrating this cycle has already been up front.

Parkview offensive lineman JJ Brown named his top six schools, with Clemson making the cut alongside Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Auburn, and Kentucky. Brown, a 6-foot-6 offensive tackle out of Lilburn, Ga., is also expected to take official visits, with Clemson listed for May 29.

On 247Sports, Brown is listed at 6-foot-6 and 305 pounds and rated as a three-star prospect. He sits as the No. 328 overall player in the 2027 class, the No. 32 offensive tackle and the No. 35 player in Georgia in the 247Sports Composite. Rivals lists him at 6-foot-6, 280 pounds and has him as the No. 276 overall player, No. 24 offensive tackle, and No. 28 player in Georgia.

For Clemson, this is another recruitment worth watching because the Tigers need some good offensive line news after an abysmal recent recruiting run up front. Florida has also already beaten Clemson for three offensive line targets this cycle.

Georgia is sitting right there in Brown’s recruitment. On3/Rivals currently has Georgia leading at 36.2 percent, with Auburn second and Clemson third at 13.9 percent.

That does not mean Clemson is out of it, but it does show the Tigers have work to do. Getting Brown on campus at the end of May gives the Tigers a real chance to make a move.
