Colin Cowherd's Eagles Prediction Will Make Philadelphia Fans Very Happy

FOX Sports' Colin Cowherd predicts the Philadelphia Eagles will win the NFC East again in 2026.
The Eagles won the NFC East in 2025 and 2024 and Cowherd believes they will win it again despite trading A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots.
"Jalen Hurts, since he became a full-time starter, has the winningest record in the NFL. I'm just going with this very, very well-run organization," Cowherd said.
Hurts and Brown used to be best friends. However, the two stars are no longer close friends.
Cowherd thinks Hurts will actually play better without Brown, who wasn't happy about his role last season and wasn't shy to voice his unhappiness.
"If you go back to last season, when he didn't target A.J. Brown, he completed 71% of his throws, 18 touchdowns, and three picks," Cowherd said. "Over the last two years, when he targeted A.J. Brown, when A.J. Brown had eight or more targets, the Eagles were 9-6. When he wasn't a focus of the game plan, and he had fewer than seven or fewer targets last two years, 13-0. This is Dez Bryant to Dak [Prescott]. Jalen Hurts will flourish despite losing a great number one receiver."
Hurts finished the 2025 season with 3,224 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 421 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. He completed 64.8% of his passes.
The Eagles signed Hurts to a five-year, $255 million extension in April 2023. However, there is little guaranteed money left on Hurts' deal after the 2026 season.
Hurts enters this season with 17,891 passing yards, 110 passing touchdowns, 3,554 rushing yards and 63 rushing touchdowns in his career. He's made the Pro Bowl three times and won Super Bowl LIX MVP against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Hurts has had seven different play callers over six-plus seasons as a pro. It will be fascinating to see how he plays in 2026 with Sean Mannion calling plays.
"Jalen's been awesome," Mannion said. "I really think he can do anything we ask of him. He's accurate. He's a great athlete. He really attacks the fundamentals. That's what's been really fun to watch these last two weeks of Phase 2. He's always wanting more things to work on, wanting more things regarding fundamentals, timing, understanding the scheme. He's hungry for more. Those are the guys that are really fun to work with."
The Eagles open the 2026 season at home against the Washington Commanders.
