College football bowl season continues on the Saturday after Christmas with a full slate of games. Fans are curious to know today’s bowl games and NFL matchups.
Four of the eight college bowl games on a busy slate feature teams that appeared in the top 25 of the final College Football Playoff rankings, highlighted by the Pop-Tarts Bowl between the No. 12 BYU Cougars and the No. 22 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The No. 19 Virginia Cavaliers, the No. 21 Houston Cougars and the No. 25 North Texas Mean Green also are in action as we dive deep into the day’s schedule.
There will be two NFL games today, both of which carry playoff implications. Victories by the Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers would not only improve their playoff positioning but would ruin the division-title hopes of their opponents, the Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens, respectively.
