Week 6 in the Big Ten served to be business as usual — with one notable exception.

No. 13 Oregon dropped a home game against No. 22 UCLA, 17-15, as Dan Lanning benched starter Dylan Raiola on a day in which he completed only six passes for 43 yards and threw two interceptions. Third-stringer Brock Thomas was much better after he came on in relief, completing 11-of-15 passes for 156 yards.

Elsewhere, No. 18 Iowa, with backup quarterback Jeremy Hecklinski, dominated Washington on Friday night to bounce back in the win column. Josh Hoover and No. 5 Indiana needed some fourth-quarter magic to avoid an upset on the road at Nebraska. Jeremiah Smith continued his video game-like tear with 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns in No. 6 Ohio State's win over Maryland, while No. 17 USC beat Penn State 31-23 in the Nittany Lions' "White Out" Game.

Michigan State also fell, 38-37, to Illinois in overtime — a game that was not without controversy.

Elsewhere, Michigan and Wisconsin were both on bye in Week 6. The Wolverines host Penn State next Saturday in Ann Arbor, while the Badgers travel to the Rose Bowl, looking to move to 3-0 in Big Ten play under Luke Fickell for the first time.

Here's a look at how those games were reflected in the Week 7 US LBM Coaches Poll and AP Top 25 rankings:
