Ole Miss fans showered LSU head coach Lane Kiffin with profane chants as Ole Miss exacted revenge, beating their former coach on Sept. 19, but disdain for Kiffin has been present in stadiums across the country so far this season.
After Kentucky upset No. 10 LSU in overtime on Saturday night, Kentucky fans rushed the field Kroger Field and beelined for Kiffin.
ESPN cameras caught several fans filming themselves flipping off Kiffin, as an officer led him through the crowd and off the field:

Elsewhere on the field, Kentucky head coach Will Stein was also surrounded by rowdy fans, though they were smiling and filming him in awe rather than flipping him off.
ESPN sideline reporter Taylor McGregor attempted to interview Stein amidst the sea of blue madness.
“We got a really good team, and I believe in these guys,” Stein said. “They keep fighting. They keep fighting. Unbelievable job.”
McGregor asked Stein to articulate what this moment meant to him and Big Blue Nation, which made Stein emotional.
“I love Big Blue Nation, I’m a part of Big Blue Nation, [and] I’m so proud of our team,” Stein said. “I’m so proud to be a Kentuckian. I’m so fired up right now.”
Kiffin did not give the fans the satisfaction of a reaction in Kentucky. The most polarizing college football coach of his era doesn’t need to give his haters any more ammunition. But sometimes, as evidenced by his postgame press conference after losing at Ole Miss, he can’t help himself.
Next week, LSU (4-2) will try to bounce back against No. 17 Mississippi State, and Kentucky (5-1) will travel to Oklahoma.
