Colorado football's 2027 recruiting class spans the entire nation

Colorado is building a truly unique 2027 recruiting class. The Buffs are now the only program with a 2027 class where every verbal commitment comes from a different state, a national spread that has taken shape over the past week.

The latest piece is four-star wide receiver Jaiden Kelly-Murray, a former South Carolina commit who announced his choice on CBS Sports’ YouTube channel Monday afternoon. Kelly-Murray gives Colorado a player from South Carolina and becomes the fourth four-star in the class. Coach Prime has previously recruited South Carolina and has been fond of the program, including wide receiver Sincere Brown, who hailed from Charleston and transferred from Campbell.

Colorado’s 2027 recruiting class geographic range

With this commitment, the geographic range is striking. Four-star safety Gabe Jenkins is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, making him the furthest east recruit. Four-star quarterback Andre Adams is from Tennessee, while offensive tackle Li’Marcus Jones is a Mississippi native playing at Brentwood Academy in Tennessee. Linebacker Ba’Roc Willis is from Alabama, cornerback Prince Washington is from Houston, Texas and offensive lineman Kenny Fairley is from Georgia. Cornerback Will Rasmussen from Utah is the only player from the Mountain region.

Kelly-Murray’s commitment puts Colorado on pace to match the six four-stars they landed in the 2025 class, with the group headlined by Julian Lewis. The Buffs could still add more talent, including four-star defensive tackle Tyler Alexander from Florida, running back Kingston Miles from St. Louis and West Coast prospects like Benjamin Harris and Jaden Baldwin. If three-star wide receiver Isaiah Alvarez from New Jersey chooses Colorado, the national sweep would be complete.
