Colorado senior linebacker Shaun Myers plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, per On3’s Pete Nakos.
Myers was one of the bright spots on an otherwise very disappointing Colorado defense. He joined the Buffs last year after three seasons at North Alabama and became the team’s top inside linebacker the final four weeks of the season. Myers finished the season with 36 total tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, one pass breakup, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
The Dayton, Ohio, native was Pro Football Focus’ Big 12 linebacker of the Week during Week 3. He should be considered a significant loss for a Colorado defense that needs all the linebacker help it can get.
