Oregon football has made a major splash on the recruiting trail.

The Ducks added the commitment of a five-star recruit wide receiver in Dakota Guerrant on Tuesday, June 16. The Michigan native announced his commitment live on ESPN’s “Pat McAfee Show.”

Guerrant spurned the in-state Wolverines, as well as offers from Ohio State and Texas A&M, to join Oregon’s 2027 recruiting class. According to 247Sports, he is the No. 23 overall player in the class.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound receiver ranks as the USA TODAY Composite‘s No. 35 overall player and the No. 6 overall wide receiver. He attends Harper Woods High School in Harper Woods, Michigan, which is about 50 minutes from Ann Arbor.

Guerrant is the 18th commitment in Dan Lanning’s recruiting class. The Ducks rank solidly inside the top five in class rankings with the addition.

As a junior, Guerrant finished with 55 catches for 1,074 yards and 26 touchdowns on offense, while totaling 40 tackles, nine pass breakups and three interceptions on defense. He also added three touchdowns on special teams.
