The Ohio State Buckeyes are after a top recruiting target hard with David Gabriel Georges, and a pivotal visit is approaching.
The Ohio State Buckeyes have been heating up a bit with the class of 2027. Now that spring practice is over, the Ohio State coaching staff is going to be doing a ton of recruiting over the next couple of months.
Ohio State has grabbed two offensive line commitments recently with offensive linemen Jimmy Kalis and David Seaman both committing to the Buckeyes. The top target for Ohio State is RB David Gabriel Georges, and the Buckeyes have a very important upcoming official visit with him.
David Gabriel Georges’ admission bodes well for the Ohio State Buckeyes
Ohio State will get a very important official visit from Gabriel-Georges on the weekend of May 29 where they can make their big pitch to the five-star running back from Tennessee. Ohio State already has the top coaching connection for the No. 2 running back in the country.
“My connection with Coach Locklyn is strong too,” Gabriel Georges said via Rivals. “He was the very first coach to offer me when he was at Oregon. He recruited me hard early at Oregon, then at Ohio State, and he has shown me that he really wants me.”
Ohio State has the benefit of having running backs coach Carlos Locklyn on staff as the top recruiter trying to bring in the 6-foot, 205-pound running back. Relationships matter and Ohio State has positioned itself right at the top in large part because of it.
“The development they do with their players stands out,” DGG said, from Rival. “Seeing how many guys get drafted and how they perform at the combine, that’s big”
The Baylor School (TN) running back will take visits to Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Georgia each week of June following the trip to Ohio State.
A commitment won’t come until after the official visits are finished up. But the Buckeyes are right there battling it out with Tennessee to land the talented running back who could play Day 1.
