BYU football kicks off its season in three months when they host Utah Tech on September 5. DraftKings has released early betting lines for notable games in the 2026 season, and BYU-Notre Dame in Provo on October 17 and BYU-Utah in Salt Lake City on November 7 are two of the games.

BYU is an early 10.5-point underdog to Notre Dame and a 3-point road underdog to to the Utes. The BYU-Utah line suggests that it would be a pick ’em on a neutral field. Notre Dame is expected to be one of the best teams in college football and currently has the second best odds to win the national championship, behind Ohio State. If the Irish are undefeated coming into Provo they could be ranked #1. Notre Dame will be heavy favorites in each of their first six games before they come to Provo.

BYU and Utah, meanwhile, each are tied with the second best odds to win the Big 12. Texas Tech is the betting favorite despite the looming likelihood that QB Brendan Sorsby will be ruled ineligible this season. Texas Tech has +100 odds win the conference while BYU and Utah are +600. There is a big gap after the Cougs and Utes, with Kansas State at +1400 to win the Big 12 and Houston +1600.
