Elite QB target to visit FSU for season opener

The recruitment of 2028 four-star quarterback Brady Quinn has started to pick up a lot of steam. Florida State is one of the top schools in play, and they're making a strong push to land the Chaminade-Madonna High School star.

Quinn took an unofficial visit to Tallahassee last March, but he's never been on campus for a game. That will change this Saturday as he will be in attendance when FSU hosts the New Mexico State Aggies, per Steve Wiltfong of Rivals.

That's not the only visit he's got locked in early on in the season. Two weeks after seeing Florida State, Quinn will head to watch the UCLA Bruins on Sept. 12 against the San Diego State Aztecs.

Quinn is the No. 284 player nationally and the No. 18 quarterback per Rivals industry rankings. In the state of Florida, he's the No. 36 recruit.

Over his first two years of high school, Quinn has been a productive player. He completed 55.7% of his passes and amassed 2,549 yards and 33 touchdowns to nine interceptions as a freshman. He improved as a sophomore, as he completed 60.4% of his passes for 2,960 yards and 37 touchdowns to 10 interceptions. Quinn added another 275 yards and scored four touchdowns as a runner.

Florida State has to deal with the Florida Gators, SMU Mustangs, and the Purdue Boilermakers in addition to UCLA for Quinn, as they're the schools that are recruiting him the hardest. So, this weekend is a critical visit for them.
