The College Football Playoff semifinals are this coming week and the fans can't wait to see how this stellar postseason finishes.
Ole Miss vs. Miami
On Thursday, January 8 at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Ole Miss Rebels will play against the Miami Hurricanes in the Fiesta Bowl. According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, ESPN has assigned Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit to cover the game.
Ole Miss have knocked off AAC champion Tulane and SEC champion Georgia to reach this point. They've done so without the head coach who led them to their 11-1 regular season record and are expected to be without several key assistants for that game. Though not recognized by the AP or Coaches' Poll as national champions, the Rebels have claimed three national titles are are hoping to win this one.
Standing in their way is arguably the most impressive team of the whole tournament: The Miami Hurricanes. This will be their first national title game appearance since 2002 and they hope to make it their first title since 2001. Thanks to their incredible defense which has allowed just 17 points against Texas A&M and Ohio State combined, it's entirely realistic.
ESPN assigned Fowler and Herbstreit to Thursday's UM- Mississippi national semifinal in Glendale and McDonough and McElroy to Friday's Oregon-Indiana semifinal in Atlanta

Oregon vs. Indiana
The Peach Bowl game on Friday, January 9, at 7:30 p.m. ET will feature two titans of the Big Ten: The Oregon Ducks and – to the surprise of everyone – the Indiana Hoosiers. ESPN's Sean McDonough and Greg McElroy will be on the call.
Oregon are no strangers to playing for national titles. They've reached national title games as recently as 2010 and 2014, but have never won a national title. However, thanks to the superb coaching of Dan Lanning and the stellar QB play of star quarterback Dante Moore, all options are on the table right now. After beating down both JMU and Texas Tech to reach the game, they're clearly a threat to everyone. They'd have all the confidence in the world if their opponent weren't the one team that beat them this past year…
As for Indiana, the entire sports world has been gushing over their unprecedented rise to the top of the football mountain. 2025 has been an endless series of firsts for them: First season with 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 wins ever, first Rose Bowl win, first Big Ten Championship Game win and so on. They have the Coach of the Year, the Heisman Trophy winner, a top-five offense and a top-five defense. What's not to like?
Between the four teams still standing, Miami is the only one that has been named a national champion by either the AP or the Coaches' Poll.
One thing is for sure: Our national champion will be a team that hasn't won a title in at least 24 years – or ever.
