ESPN FPI predicts Auburn's remaining games after Week 2 win

As the Auburn Tigers start the season 2-0, they will have their biggest test of the season when they host the Florida Gators on Saturday night at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Heading into the Week 2 game versus Southern Mississippi, the Tigers were looking at a projected win total of six games. Then, the ESPN FPI rankings had the Tigers with a prediction of 6.4 wins and 5.6 losses. After defeating the Golden Eagles, they jumped up in the rankings from No. 27 to No. 22 and are now projected for 7.2 wins this season. Auburn currently has an 83% chance of picking up six wins in year one under head coach Alex Golesh.

When looking at the schedule, they are a slight favorite over Florida by the ESPN Prediction Machine at 50.2%. The game that has changed the most of the last three weeks is the one against Mississippi State on November 14th. Prior to the season, the Tigers had a 67.5% chance of victory over the Bulldogs, and that dropped to 50.6%. That game is a toss-up after Week 2's action.

  • At Ole Miss – 39.2% (4-4, 2-4 SEC)
  • Arkansas – 90.6% (5-4, 3-4 SEC)
  • At Mississippi State – 50% (5-5, 4-4 SEC)
  • Samford – 99% (6-5, 3-4 SEC)
  • At Alabama – 20.4% (6-6, 4-5 SEC)
