The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs play the Vanderbilt Commodores at 12:45 p.m. ET on Oct. 3, at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia. The Georgia-Vanderbilt game will be televised on SEC Network.
Georgia is heavy favorites against Vanderbilt. The Dawgs are coming off a 41-13 win over Oklahoma while Vanderbilt suffered a 21-15 road loss to Auburn last week. In the lost to Auburn, Vanderbilt starting quarterback Jared Curtis sustained an injury and is questionable to play against Georgia.
"What's next is a great challenge in Georgia," Vanderbilt coach Clark Lea said about playing Georgia. "I mean, I got a ton of respect for Kirby Smart, the program he's built, he's an alum. He's a guy that, you know, has built a program that has become the standard bearer for college football and that's a three three-phase program. I respect the way they play the game in all three phases. They're physical, they're fast, they're sound in their systems."
Georgia has won six consecutive games against Vanderbilt, but could get caught in a trap game against the Commodores, who only allow 21.3 points per game. Georgia can't look ahead to next week's game against Alabama has to play sound football to get the job done against Vanderbilt, who nearly made the College Football Playoff last season.
Will Georgia beat Vanderbilt? ESPN's prediction

ESPN's matchup predictor, which factors in how teams have performed, football power index and other key variables, gives Georgia a 95.6% chance to defeat Vanderbilt. The Commodores have just a 4.4% chance of pulling off a stunning upset against Georgia.
