Rickie Collins is in the midst of his redshirt junior season with Kennesaw State. The former LSU quarterback claimed the starting job at his third school in four years but found himself in the loss column over Weeks 2 and 3.

The Owls opened the 2026 season with a win over West Georgia but got blown out by Georgia State and Tennessee over the last two weeks. They have one more game against Arkansas State before starting the Conference USA Slate against Jacksonville State.

Collins completed 62 passes for 620 yards and two touchdowns through three games. He added 31 carries for 133 yards and three touchdowns. In the win against West Georgia, Collins finished with a 78.3% completion percentage and scored on a 24-yard touchdown run. The following week against Georgia State, he threw for 260 yards and completed his longest pass of the year for 46 yards.

Collins signed with LSU as part of the 2023 class. As a redshirt freshman, he backed up Garrett Nussmeier and appeared in three games. He transferred to Syracuse for the 2025 season and served as the backup before starting for the season's second half. He finished with 1,042 passing yards and six touchdowns, along with 126 rushing yards.
