Five-star WR Monshun Sales commits to Indiana over SEC powers

Curt Cignetti has already led the Indiana Hoosiers to one national championship, and he is working on bringing them No. 2. While the majority of their roster was built using the transfer portal, their success has allowed them to elevate their high school recruiting to unprecedented heights.

Five-star wide receiver Monshun Sales committed to Indiana on Friday, announcing the news on the Pat McAfee Show. He picked the Hoosiers over the Alabama Crimson Tide, Texas Longhorns, and LSU Tigers, becoming the highest-ranked commit in program history.

He is ranked as the No. 8 overall player and No. 2 wide receiver in the 247Sports composite. The Indianapolis native is also the No. 1 player from Indiana and the first five-star commit in program history.

While the Hoosiers had proximity on their side, they had to weather pushes from the biggest programs in the country to keep the talented playmaker home. The 6-foot-5, 195-pounder caught 37 passes for 794 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior at Lawrence North High School, averaging 21.5 yards per reception. He also spent time on defense, recording 56 tackles and two fumble recoveries.

He is Indiana's 17th commitment in the 2027 recruiting cycle and their fifth blue-chip commit. The group is ranked 30th-best in the country and 11th-best in the Big Ten by 247Sports.
