On Saturday night, USC will visit Penn State in the Nittany Lions’ annual White Out game. With the two teams a combined 1-3 over the past two weeks, both sides will be desperate for a potential season-saving victory.
Prior to each game this season, I will be giving you five things to expect. So without further ado, here are my predictions for USC-Penn State.
Putting the Lions to sleep
On the road in a hostile environment, scoring early is key to quiet the crowd. The Trojans do just that, recording points on their first possession of the game.
Not so Happy Valley
Jayden Maiava has been a really good quarterback for USC over the past two years. One of his few struggles, however, has been turnovers. On the road in a hostile environment Saturday night, he throws at least one interception.
The Lion King
Penn State’s run defense has looked quite vulnerable in recent weeks. The Trojans take advantage of that, with running back King Miller rushing for over 100 yards.
White Out, Yellow flags
Penalties have been a massive issue for USC over the past few games. That continues against Penn State, as the Trojans commit at least 60 yards of penalties once again.
Lots of gain, lots of pain
Far too often under head coach Lincoln Riley, USC has found ways to lose games on the road despite seemingly being the better team. That happens again on Saturday, as the Trojans gain more yards from scrimmage than Penn State, but lose the football game.
