Updated kickoff times and television windows for the opening weeks of the 2026 college football season were released by ESPN on Wednesday, including three games for Florida. The Gators open the campaign against Florida Atlantic on Sept. 5 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, with kickoff slated for 7:45 p.m. ET on SEC Network.
The program will start the season under intense national exposure as the arrival of new head coach Jon Sumrall has created renewed expectations around the team. It was one of the most anticipated SEC rebuilds in recent years, with many experts picking Florida to return to the postseason in the first year of the Sumrall era.
When Florida plays and where it is shown has a massive impact on their public perception and the national narrative that will follow each result. The SEC remains a ratings gem for ESPN and other networks, especially as the conference transitions to a nine-game conference schedule beginning this year.
