The Florida Gators already boast one of the SEC's most intriguing receiving corps entering Jon Sumrall's debut season in 2026, and they're shoring up that position group in the long term, as well.
On Tuesday, the Gators landed a commitment from four-star 2027 receiver Elias Pearl, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound prospect from Port Charlotte, Florida, who ranks as the No. 90 player nationally. He chose UF over Georgia, Florida State, LSU and Ole Miss.
Pearl becomes the third top-100 prospect to join the Gators' 2027 class, which now ranks No. 4 nationally per 247Sports. He's also Florida's third blue-chip receiver commitment, joining Tramond Collins (No. 112) and Anthony Jennings (No. 276).

Adding receivers has been a major priority for Sumrall and his staff so far in Gainesville. Florida retained 2025 five-star recruits Vernell Brown III and Dallas Wilson while adding a four-man transfer receiver class headlined by former Georgia Tech and Auburn star Eric Singleton.
Now, it appears the Gators are poised to take at least three wideouts in the 2027 class as new offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner looks to bolster the passing game.
