Florida freshman redshirts Dallas Wilson and cornerback Ben Hanks III were named to the Shaun Alexander Watch List.

The Shaun Alexander Award is given to college football's best freshman regardless of position. The award has been presented to the college freshman player of the year since 2018 and is named in honor of Shaun Alexander, the former running back at the University of Alabama and the 2005 NFL MVP with the Seattle Seahawks.

Wilson, a 6-foot-3-inch, 212-pound receiver, had 12 catches for 174 yards and 3 touchdowns for the Florida Gators in four games during the 2025 season. The reshirt earned SEC freshman of the week honors in his debut, contributing six receptions for 111 yards and 2 TDs in the program's 29-21 upset win over Texas at home.

The pass catcher would only play four games in his initial collegiate season due to lingering injuries. Now the four-star receiver will be listed as a second-year freshman.

Hanks appeared in only three games for Florida last season, with one start. He recorded eight tackles, two pass breakups, and an interception for the program as a freshman after dealing with lower-body injuries at the start of his collegiate career.

Hanks, now fully healthy, is currently in a position battle with redshirt juniors Dijon Johnson and Cormani McClain for one of the two starting cornerback positions.
