Logan Flaherty, FSU football’s top quarterback target in the 2027 recruiting cycle, is ready to make his commitment. The three-star prospect will announce his commitment on Tuesday on the Rivals YouTube channel.
He isn’t the only FSU target who will be making his commitment at 1:30 p.m. ET. Four-star wide receiver Elias Pearl, his teammate at Port Charlotte High School, will do so at the same time, and FSU is one of his seven finalists. While the Seminolesare the favorites for Flaherty, they are not expected to be the pick for Pearl, with the Florida Gators and Ole Miss Rebels battling it out for him.
Flaherty is ranked as the No. 600 overall player and No. 39 quarterback in the Rivals industry ranking. The Port Charlotte native is also the No. 60 player from Florida.
While he has been a long-time target for FSU, they did not start pushing until recently. They are competeting with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights for Flaherty, who was previously committed to the UCF Knights. He is also considering the USF Bulls, Memphis Tigers, North Carolina Tar Heels, and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Flaherty had a productive junior season at Port Charlotte, completeting 60.8% of his passes for 2,636 yards, 27 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He also ran for 595 yards and 11 touchdowns on 140 carries.
